Cherokee Construction, LLC is a Virginia Class A building contractor founded by Chris Salisbury in 2001. Chris has nearly 20 years of hands-on deck building experience and nearly 15 years of deck design experience. Chris uses this experience to create a unique design that is customized to each homeowner’s space, style, ideas, and budget.
Attention to Detail and Expert Craftsmanship
Cherokee hires only the best local craftsmen. Many decks look good in pictures, but lose the “wow factor” when you actually see them up close. Their carpenters are as comfortable with crown molding and finish carpentry as they are with framing and flooring, and it shows in the finished product. They have a long list of satisfied customers and are always happy to provide references.
Design Experience
Cherokee is the area’s leader in deck design. With fine craftmanship, knowledge of materials and a designer’s eye, Cherokee offers the finest in functional and aesthetically pleasing deck design. They are familiar with a majority of the Home Owners’ Association regulations in Northern Virginia. They offer full-services from design to build; including obtaining all HOA approvals, local permits and inspections. They also offer services for clients who need fences, landscaping or hardscaping.
Material Versatility
Cherokee stays current with the constantly evolving deck material market. In addition to traditional materials including exotic hardwoods, they use all of the latest products including composite, vinyl and aluminum, and are skilled at the specific techniques needed for installation. They are one of the few local vendors qualified to install a Weatherdeck Roofing Membrane, to convert a rooftop into a balcony, and are skilled at installations that include hot tubs or other unique water-features.
